The former director of TV Globo has been hospitalized for septicemia since 26 December; the image is considered serious, but stable
The former director of TV Globo, Dennis Carvalho, 75, remains hospitalized in serious condition at Copa Star Hospital, in Copacabana, south of Rio de Janeiro. The director has septicemia, a generalized infection, and has been hospitalized since 26 December.
“The condition is still very serious, but it is good news that he is stable. He is strong and he is fighting. We are receiving countless messages of love, strength and affection for him. I am sure he is receiving all of this”, the ex-wife of Dennis, actress Deborah Evelyn, said in an interview with the newspaper The globe.
Dennis Carvalho left the station in June 2022 after 47 years. On the channel he has directed highly successful productions such as Dancin ‘Days (1979), the series Malu Mulher (1979) and the telenovela Celebridade (2003), among others.
The director is the father of Leonardo Carvalho, son of his relationship with Christiane Torloni; Tainá, daughter of his relationship with Monique Alves; and Luíza, the result of his union with Deborah Evelyn, to whom he was married for 24 years.
