Singer Preta Gil has revealed that she has been diagnosed with bowel cancer.
In recent days, she has been feeling ill and has had to undergo tests at a referral hospital in Rio. Tests revealed the disease.
In a brief statement released on his social networks on Tuesday (10/8), he told fans that he will begin treatment immediately.
“I have been hospitalized for the past six days at the Clínica São Vicente, in Rio de Janeiro, due to a discomfort I have experienced and thank God, today I received a definitive diagnosis. I have adenocarcinoma in the final part of the intestine. On Monday ( 1/16) and counting on everyone’s energy to keep calm and confidence,” he wrote.
Preta Gil arrived at the hospital on Thursday (5/1) feeling severe pain. Reports stated that she needed a wheelchair to get around.
On Sunday (1/8), the singer vented on social media and revealed that she had passed a battery of exams. “This message goes directly to my fans, admirers and those who radiate love and good energy for me. Yes, I have been admitted to the Clínica São Vicente, Rio de Janeiro since Thursday. I have abdominal pain, and since then we have been doing a series of tests to know exactly my diagnosis”, revealed the artist.
