Ellidy Pullin, the 34-year-old Gold Coast influencer and podcaster, announced her engagement to boyfriend Brock Wadsworth this week, and the diamond ring he gave her has been valued at as much as $350,000 by an expert.
Nilesh Rakholia, founder of jeweller Abelini, examined images of Pullin's ring and estimated its cost at between $250,000 and $350,000, based on what he described as a high-quality natural diamond.
The elongated, cushion-cut diamond sits in a yellow-gold bezel setting that Rakholia said closely resembles the ring pop star Taylor Swift was given by fiancé Travis Kelce at their 2025 engagement.
How much the ring could be worth
Rakholia estimated the centre stone at around five carats. He said that if the diamond turned out to be lab-grown rather than natural, a visually similar ring would likely cost far less, somewhere between $7,000 and $12,000.
"It's a beautiful ring, and very wearable. The elongated cushion gives you the softness of a traditional cushion cut, but with more length through the finger, so it feels substantial without looking overly square or heavy," Rakholia said.
He said the bezel setting was the ring's most distinctive feature and made it practical for everyday wear.
"Rather than claws holding the diamond at individual points, the gold follows the outline of the stone," he said. "It gives the ring a much cleaner silhouette and also protects the edge of the diamond more effectively, which makes sense for something you're going to wear every day."
A trend Taylor Swift started
Rakholia said he was not surprised to see another high-profile engagement ring use a bezel setting, pointing to Swift's as the design that revived the style.
"Taylor Swift's engagement ring helped put bezels back into the mainstream conversation," he said. "The appeal is easy to understand. People want engagement rings that feel a little less formulaic, but still practical enough for everyday wear. A bezel gives you both."
"Ellidy's ring is a really good example of why bezel settings are having a moment," he continued. "The elongated cushion gives you the scale, the yellow gold adds warmth and the bezel keeps the whole thing clean and distinctive. It photographs beautifully, but more importantly it looks like a ring someone could live in."
Abelini is a high-end jeweller with locations in Australia and the United Kingdom, specialising in diamond and gemstone jewellery, including wedding and engagement rings.
How Brock proposed
Pullin shared news of the engagement on Instagram, revealing that Wadsworth had proposed during a trip to Europe. The couple marked the occasion with a series of romantic photographs.
"HE WANTS TO BE STUCK WITH ME FOREVER," she captioned the post, alongside several crying and ring emojis.
Wadsworth is a Gold Coast-based contractor and managing director of Wadsworth Contracting.
