Emily Atack Marries Alistair Garner in UK Ceremony

Emily Atack has shared photos from her wedding day after marrying her partner Alistair Garner in an intimate ceremony in the UK over the weekend.

The couple had two stunning cakes on the day, including a jaw-dropping creation of herself, Alistair, their son Barney and dog Penny made from icing

The Inbetweeners actress, 36, posted images of her white Josephine Scott gown, worn with a lace veil and headpiece, and said she needed "a moment for the dress" as she thanked the boutique for creating her wedding look.

One of the images shared showed the beaming couple leaving the church

The couple had two cakes on the day. One was a creation modelled on Atack, Garner, their son Barney and their dog Penny, made entirely from icing.

Atack's dress cost £2,325 and had long sleeves with lace cuffs and a plunging pleat neckline. She wore it as she and Garner walked down the aisle after being declared husband and wife.

Announcing the wedding on Instagram on Sunday, Atack wrote: "Yesterday we officially got married among close family and friends. It was absolutely perfect. I can't believe we get to do all that again in a few weeks time. Christ, we have fun don't we @dralistairgarner."

Second wedding planned in Spain

The UK ceremony comes ahead of a larger wedding in Spain next month. Atack is known for playing Charlotte Hinchcliffe in The Inbetweeners and more recently starred in Rivals, while Garner works as a scientist.

Earlier this year, Atack described her Spanish wedding as a "fat, f*** off party", telling Luxury London Magazine: "I think I've nailed it. We're getting married in September. I've very much enjoyed the planning process... Choosing napkins and stuff. I'm like, 'My God, my life is here!'"

The newly married actress also reposted a snap shared by one of her pals, that showed her full length wedding gown

Speaking to Grazia about her wedding dress plans, she said her fashion choices had become bolder since starring in Rivals: "Since Rivals, in terms of fashion, I tend to go quite big now generally."

Atack told the publication she would marry Garner, 40, abroad, thought to be in Spain, adding: "Life is good. It doesn't get much better than where I am now."

Family and engagement

Atack, who has a two-year-old son, Barney, with Garner, got engaged to him in July 2025, having welcomed their son the year before. Her mother previously said the star would marry this year, joking that Kim Kardashian's Met Gala look would be her dream "mother-of-the-bride" outfit.

Last year it was reported the couple were considering venues in Spain. An insider told The Sun On Sunday: "Emily has been going to Spain with her family on holiday ever since she was a child and loves the idea of getting married there. She and Alistair adore the stunning countryside there, and guaranteed sun is a bonus."

Atack has said: "I loved my family holidays there when I was growing up. We had a property there and my dad sold it a couple of years ago, but it's our favourite place and we still go every year, and stay in a hotel."

Hen do and wedding rules

In June, Atack marked her hen weekend in Cannes, joking she'd had "enough rosé to last a lifetime" as she posed in a white bikini and cover-up by Agent Provocateur with a novelty veil. She and her friends drank bottles of Lady A rosé and enjoyed a spread of food.

She wrote: "The most insanely perfect few days. Pure joy from start to finish and enough @drinkladya to last us a lifetime. I thoroughly recommend having a hen do, even if you aren't getting married btw. It's the most fun you'll ever have losing all of your belongings."

Atack has also banned children from the three-day Spanish celebrations in Andalusia. Speaking on The Romesh Ranganathan Show podcast, she said: "We're being kind to our friends and making sure that people don't have to worry too much about paying for lots of things, but we have said no kids at the wedding, no children."

She added: "I'm surprised by how many people are happy about that. I thought I'd get a lot of people kicking off, but they're like no, 'f*** those kids.'"
