Emma Corrin, who played Diana, Princess of Wales in Netflix's The Crown, arrived at the Venice Film Festival in an all-white Celine outfit, pairing the look with a large black handbag and a baseball cap. Celine is a French luxury fashion house founded in 1945.
The outfit appeared to echo the late princess's own off-duty style, recalling a well-known photograph of Diana taken in 1989, in which she wore a baseball cap, cowboy boots and a white T-shirt and joggers.
Corrin, 30, who is non-binary, is one of many stars who have arrived in Venice for the festival, which runs until next Saturday, when the awards will be announced.

The Venice Film Festival, held annually on the Lido, is one of the world's oldest film festivals and one of the most prestigious events in world cinema, alongside Cannes and Berlin. Its top prize, the Golden Lion, is among the most sought-after honours in international film.
This year's festival opened with Danny Boyle's Ink, an adaptation of the acclaimed stage play about the early years of media mogul Rupert Murdoch, played by Guy Pearce, and his acquisition of the British tabloid The Sun. Jack O'Connell and Claire Foy also star.
George Clooney, described as a near-annual fixture at the festival, is due to receive a lifetime achievement award this year and is also a producer on the film Furies. Clooney is an Oscar-winning actor and director known for films including Ocean's Eleven and Michael Clayton.
Other stars expected in Venice include Noel and Liam Gallagher of Oasis, Rooney and Kate Mara, Robert Pattinson, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Pamela Anderson, Sam Rockwell, John Malkovich, Louis Garrel, Cho Yeo-jeong and Ellen Burstyn, who is also being honoured with a lifetime achievement award. Burstyn is an Academy Award-winning actress known for films including The Exorcist and Requiem for a Dream.
One of the most anticipated films in contention for awards is Martin McDonagh's dark comedy Wild Horse Nine, starring Rockwell and Malkovich as a pair of CIA agents in the period before the 1973 coup in Chile, when General Augusto Pinochet seized power from President Salvador Allende. McDonagh previously wrote and directed films including In Bruges and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
Emma Corrin's life in Margate
Corrin is best known for playing a young Diana, Princess of Wales in The Crown, the Netflix drama chronicling the reign of Queen Elizabeth II and the private lives of the British royal family. The role brought Corrin widespread recognition before Elizabeth Debicki took over as an older Diana in the show's later seasons.
Corrin moved from London to the seaside town of Margate, on England's Kent coast, in 2023 and has since become immersed in local life. "I really love it," Corrin told Jessie and Lennie Ware on their Table Manners podcast. Table Manners is hosted by the singer Jessie Ware and her mother Lennie Ware, and features celebrity guests discussing food and life over a home-cooked meal.
"Curve Coffee is amazing. It's adjacent to the town, just above the high street, in a little square. Curve does the best Kimchi toastie you will ever try, it's so good," Corrin said.
Margate's popularity among creatives has led to the town being nicknamed "Shoreditch-On-Sea," a reference to the trend-driven east London neighbourhood of Shoreditch.
Corrin said they rarely eat out when in the English capital but do so regularly in Margate because everything is close by. "I'm really bad at eating out in London, I never do it," they said. "In Margate I do it, because everything's really close."
"Where I always go is High Dive. They started with a tiny little place, on the harbour arm, and it's tacos and enchiladas and stuff like that. It's so good. They do the most insane spicy margaritas," Corrin added.
