Eva Birath, a 70-year-old former nurse from Gothenburg, Sweden, has revealed that she eats 5.6 kilograms of meat each week to stay slim. She shared details about her health and appearance in comments published by Need To Know.

Birath, who is also a former interior designer and artist, said she gave up plant-based foods completely in favor of her high-meat diet. She stated that she believes 80 percent of health depends on what people eat.
Her routine includes strength training with weights for an hour three to four times each week, along with regular long walks. She also practices periodic fasting, visits the sauna, and takes ice baths to maintain her physical condition.
Bodybuilding career and health challenges
Birath entered her first bodybuilding competition at age 47 and won the event. She later went on to compete in national contests, including the Swedish Championship.
At age 61, during her sixth year on the meat diet, doctors diagnosed her with a malignant tumor that required surgery to remove part of her rectum. Despite the medical procedure, she returned to her workout routine.
Views on aging and fitness
Birath does not claim that she has avoided the effects of aging, but she considers herself to be in excellent shape. She said comparing herself to other 70-year-olds is fantastic, though she does not compare herself to others because she believes most people are unhealthy and weak.
