Pique’s lawyer describes how Shakira and ex-footballer reached SETTLEMENT

Gerard Pique’s lawyer has shared some of the details of the former footballer’s separation agreement with his partner of 12 years, Shakira.

It was on November 8, 2022 that they announced that they had reached an agreement, the centerpiece of which was the custody of Milan and Sasha.

“We have signed an agreement that guarantees the welfare of our children and which will be validated in court, as part of a purely formal process,” they said in a statement.

Less than a month later, on December 1, they both appeared in the Court of First Instance and Family No. 18 of Barcelona and confirmed their agreement before the competent authority.

What was revealed about the arrangement is that Gerard would have given in to the singer moving with the young ones to Miami. Supposedly he could have them in Spain during the school holidays.

So far, Shakira, Milan and Sasha have not moved to the so-called “City of the Sun”, possibly because her father, William Mebarak, is suffering from health problems.

Pique’s lawyer talks about a separation agreement with Shakira

Ramón Tamborero, the athlete’s legal representative, revealed several details of the agreement between the former soccer player and the interpreter of “Monotonía”.

In an interview with La Vanguardia, the lawyer stated that the former partner “has shown great intelligence.”

“They have made a great effort for the good of their children, who were not the protagonists,” he explained, supporting what they have assured several times: that they want the good of Milan and Sasha.

Tamborero said their negotiation took a total of “seven months,” which would confirm that Shakira and Piqué did indeed end their relationship sometime in April 2022.

“The deal was complicated and required preparatory meetings,” he explained, explaining why it took so long. “Better a bad deal than a good proposal,” he added.

On November 7 last year, the Colombian and the Catalan met, along with their lawyers, at the mansion they shared as a family to set the points of the deal once and for all.

“And the decisive meeting before the signing lasted thirteen hours,” Tamborero said. “Money was not the conflict here,” he added.

The 74-year-old lawyer did not say whether Gerard Pique considered making changes to the agreement now that his children’s living conditions remain unchanged.

Pique and Shakira at war?

Although Ramón Tamborero claimed to advise his clients that “once their divorce agreement is signed” they keep it “in a drawer” and discuss it, Piqué and Shakira would do the opposite.

She released her song ‘BZRP Music Sessions #53’, in the lyrics of which she attacks her ex and his girlfriend, Clara Chía, with phrases such as: ‘You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded a Rolex for a Casio.”

The ex-footballer then joked that he would have a partnership with the famous Japanese watch brand and was also seen driving a car of the exact model mentioned by the Colombian singer.
