MP famous for doing the ‘Consumer Patrol’, on Record, lives his day as a victim
Workers walking along Rua Vitória in São Paulo’s historic center saw from a distance a recording by Celso Russomanno for the ‘Patrulha do Consumidor’ segment, on Record TV.
When it was time to leave, the federal deputy and journalist was involved in a car accident. A white Kombi crashed into the side of his black Mitsubishi Pajero (the model costs between R$300,000 and R$400,000). He was in the passenger seat.
The moment of impact was filmed by the audience. There were yells of derision. Russomanno’s big car had part of the fender smashed.
From the images, no one was injured, but the politician was visibly irritated. He challenged the Kombi driver, who seemed dismayed to see the damage.
Quickly, dozens of people surrounded the cars to film and comment. ‘Sheriff’ of consumer rights, Celso Russomanno had his day as a character by accident.
On social media there were those who mocked the situation. “Someone had the misfortune to scratch Celso Russomanno’s car,” Pedro Araújo posted on Twitter.
“Who will Celso Russomanno call now?” Asked Valdir Costa on TikTok. Will the Congressman turn his case into a TV story? Check.
