Salvador’s carnival officially began on Thursday the 16th, when King Momo, Alan Nery, received the keys to the city from Mayor Bruno Reis (PT). Later, Ivete Sangalo joined the trio and took the audience into a frenzy with her hits, proving that Carnival is stronger and more alive than ever.
The singer also took advantage of the show to pay homage to Preta Gil, who will not participate in any carnival event as she is being treated for intestinal cancer. Revelers also did their best in looks chosen to enjoy the revelry.
