The man told Terra that his employment card was withheld and the condition of getting it back was that he pledged not to sue the singer
A former employee of singer Naldo Benny revealed, in an interview with Earth, to which the funkeiro team withheld his employment card after his resignation. The only condition to recover the document would be through the signing of an agreement in which one undertakes not to sue the artist.
Today, almost seven years after the start of the trial, the debt is already estimated at R$ 1 million, according to the former employee’s defense.
“I worked with him for almost four years. That’s when I said I was leaving because I was really getting weak with the shows, from all the litigation he got involved in. He kept my work permit in the office for six months and only after entering Justice did they recover it, because they didn’t want to make a deal, at the time it was a deal of R$ 10,000, which they would have paid in 5 installments of R$ 2,000, but they didn’t accept it” , says the man, who prefers not to be identified.
The document which he was tricked into signing, as a condition of getting his work card back, caused him to give up any money he could receive. “[…] and maybe have a case against Naldo. In exchange for that, he would hand over my wallet and cancel my license. And then it was very strange,” he adds.
The former employee also claims that he has accumulated functions within the company and even provided personal services to the singer. Hired as stagehand, with a formal note in the pay slip of R $ 1,914.29 in November 2012, he claims to have received R $ 250.00 per show in the first eight months of the contract and R $ 200.00 in the following. The workload, according to the initial petition, was 3pm to 4am, an average of 25 shows a month through 2013.
“[…] the worker has performed the function of pyrotechnician cumulatively, habitually and for a reasonable time, without having received any technical or safety training for the performance of this activity. He has never been provided with a helmet, gloves, boots or any other personal protective equipment capable of reducing the risks caused by the handling of explosives”, reads the document, sent to Justice in February 2017.
The lawsuit was filed against Naldo Music Produções Artísticas, owned by Naldo and his partner Marcos José Menezes, in the labor court. The process has been ongoing since 2016 and, to date, no payment has been made to the former employee. The lawsuit already reaches the value of almost R$ 1 million, according to the man’s defense.
“In the first win, my case was about BRL 570,000, which the judge ruled to pay, but then I set the lawyer to appeal, we won again in the second instance, it was about BRL 700,000 plus half million [de reais]. Then the judge gave the victory, it is being executed, but no one thinks of Naldo. He has people that he uses as an orange to put [os bens] in their names. Since the process is interest / day, it is already about 900 thousand BRL, ”he says.
Between 2017 and 2018, the judge seised expressed a favorable opinion to the plaintiff, but, until then, neither of the two has made any payments.
“We haven’t been able to find anything since then. Naldo, in a way, managed to hide everything he had. We know he has an apartment out there [no exterior]but the courts can’t find anything here,” reiterates the former funkeiro employee.
Naldo responds to other processes
At least three other former Naldo employees have sued him for the same reason, and are awaiting a favorable decision from the court. Added together, the amounts owed by the singer to employees reach almost R $ 2 million, according to lawyer Marcelo Camello, who represents four former employees who are suing Naldo Benny.
The former employee interviewed by Earth says the funk singer has only managed to strike a deal with two people, and from the team that sued him, only one person has won so far. According to him, there are people who have been waiting for a court decision for ten years.
“I hope justice is done, because he is someone we spent the time of our lives with doing our job, we were right with him, and now he is not paying us. his cars… Sure, it’s his work, but there’s our sweat there too, and he just doesn’t pay because he’s found his way around Justice,” he says.
After years of waiting, the former employee still believes in a win and even wishes Naldo “success”. “Because he then pays those who have not paid”, he justifies himself.

What does the prosecution say?
Attorney Marcelo Camello, who represents four former employees who sued singer Naldo Benny for work problems, says that, together, the lawsuits amount to almost R $ 2 million. In a statement, he celebrated the court’s decision that withheld the passports and driving licenses of the manufacturer’s partners.
According to Camello, a ban has also been placed on the participation of those involved in public procurement and procurement, as well as the inclusion of their names in Serasa.
“They will serve as an effective and challenging means of paying off the employment debt accrued to the applicants, as it is highly contradictory for them to continue living their normal lives without paying anything to the people who have devoted themselves so much to them and are entitled to what they it was determined by court decisions,” he argues.

What Naldo says about the allegations
In a court decision, Naldo’s passport and National Driver’s License (CNH) were blocked, in response to another employment lawsuit filed by former dancer Maria Eduarda Vieira Aurélio, who also provided services for Naldo Music Produções Artisticas. The information was initially reported by journalist Leo Dias, from the portal metropolisand confirmed by Earth.
As ascertained by EarthAgainst the ruling, Naldo’s defense filed a writ of summons, which was revoked. In contact with the complaint, attorney Emerson Mazzini said an injunction had been granted to recover the singer’s driver’s license and passport.
“The decision is in the sense that, also in consideration of the food nature of the job application, the judge does not admit, as a coercive measure of the debtors the exemption from the quantum execution, the violation of constitutionally guaranteed rights, as well as the case of dignity of the human person and the freedom to come and go”, says the lawyer, in a statement.
Regarding the inclusion of the artist’s name in SERASA, the defense argues that there is no determination of a working process in this regard. The lawyer did not comment on the charges of withholding the former employee’s work card, whose action revolves around R$ 1 million.
