Ben Affleck Clarifies Whether He Thinks Jennifer Garner Was Alone About Her Alcoholism

Ben Affleck has clarified his statements in 2021 about drinking during his marriage to Jennifer Garner.

In December of that year, the 50-year-old actor spoke to host Howard Stern and explained that “probably [todavía] I would drink” if he had remained married to the actress.

“You know, part of why I started drinking was because I was hooked,” he said.

“The idea that I blamed my wife for my drinking. To be clear, my behavior is solely my responsibility.”

Ben argued that “the point I was trying to make was sad,” but that anyone “who’s been through a divorce makes that calculation: how hard are we trying?”

After that, she emphasized that her words to the American driver were misrepresented and that she did not intend to hold Garner responsible for her drinking problems.

“I was trying to say, ‘Hey, look, I’ve been drinking too much, and the less happy you get, whether it’s your job, your marriage, your life, the harder it gets if you’re doing things to fill a hole that’s not healthy. , you’re going to start doing more of those things,” he said.

The star of films such as “Armageddon” believes he was “pretty eloquent” when he spoke, for which he accused the New York Post of publishing a report with the meaning of his distorted message.
