The band’s Coldplay frontman spoke about returning items during a podcast interview; LED accessories are part of the presentations of the group
Chris Martinsinger of the band Coldplay, asked fans to return the LED bracelets they received during the show in São Paulo. The musician has stated that they are “very expensive”.
He spoke about the matter in a conversation at Podcast Venus. According to the group itself, the audience of the São Paulo show was the one who least returned the accessories during the band’s visit to South America.
“These bracelets have changed our lives because they allow us to connect with the audience so everyone is a part of the show. The original bracelets were designed 13 years ago by a man who made batteries for sex toys. He was very good with little drums , and he did these things that he somehow became a fifth member of Coldplay,” the singer said.
“That’s where we spent most of our money [arrecadado nos shows], but it was worth it because with them the concert is something different: you’re not watching the band, you’re watching the crowd. And people should return them because they are so expensive.”
Accessories are provided for fans to play a light show during performances. Returns are made at the end of the show. The organization sanitizes the wristbands and reuses them at other band concerts.
