The Cast of Neighbors is back in PNTHI

The cast of the Neighbors series said their last goodbye to another member. On March 22, Eduardo España, Roxana Castellanos and the production of the program spoke about the death of Juan Manuel Herrera Chaparro.

Just ten days ago, the team of the sitcom fired Ignacio López Tarso, who participated in some episodes of season 13 as Don Lorenzo Ruiz, Benito’s grandfather. Now, they are dressing in black again after the death of Herrera Chaparro, who was working behind the scenes.

“We are deeply saddened by the death of our friend Juan Manuel Herrera Chaparro, who was a member of the Vecinos group. We’ll miss you, fly high ‘Juanito,’” the man captioned the photo posted on the TV show’s official Instagram account.

Actors Eduardo España and Roxana Castellanos, as well as producer Elías Solorio, were some of the members who dedicated a few words to him in the comments section of the “post”.

“Rest in peace, Juanito. Have a nice trip,” wrote producer Solorio. For her part, Roxana Castellanos, who plays Vanessa in the series, commented: “Chale, fly high Juanito,” along with a crying emoji.

Lalo España reproduced Herrera Chaparro’s photo on his Twitter account and dedicated a few words to him: “May he rest in peace.”

He who was a partner of Mayrín Villanueva, César Bono, Octavio Ocaña and Macaria, made his debut as an actor in the program that premiered in 2005, 18 years ago, with small characters such as a tamalero or a passerby.

Those close to Herrera, also known as “El Chino”, described him on social networks as a nice person and also remembered him for his “whistles” on the recording forum.

In its nearly two decades on the air, Neighbors has suffered the loss of more than a dozen actors who were part of the show. Octavio Ocaña, Polo Ortín, Sammy Pérez, Gus Rodríguez, Alejandra Meyer, María Rubio, Raúl “Chóforo” Padilla and Yolanda Martínez continue to be remembered by the cast.
