Ben Affleck and Matt Damon they have been friends for most of their lives, their career has grown at the same time and they even won an Oscar for writing Good Will Hunting. More than friends, the two artists have always behaved almost like brothers. “It was unusual, but we needed the money for the auditions,” said Matt Damon. The pair supported each other to succeed, so they had no problem sharing an account together. “We helped each other,” said Ben Affleck . “It was like, ‘You’re not going to be alone. I will not be alone. Let’s go out and do this together‘”

Depending on which job Affleck or Damon got, his bank account fluctuated frequently, but collecting income meant that the rhythm did not stop. “After doing ‘Geronimo Legend,’ he probably had $35,000 in the bank, Damon said. “I was like ‘we’re good for a year’.”
Everything had its rules, yes. They couldn’t spend on whatever they wanted. “You were allowed to go to [audiciones en] New York with the money,” Damon explained. “You could take out $10, or say a quarter, and go to the arcade. We tried to share costs to buy beer, but that was a fucking disaster.”
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are still friends 40 years later and they will star in a movie together again, ‘AIR’, which will tell the story of Nike’s rise as a sports brand thanks to the impulse of a very young Michael Jordan. ‘AIR’, directed by Affleck himself, opens on April 5th.
