The actress says she only had two minutes to save her children
Caterina Scorsone, Amelia from Grey’s Anatomy, has revealed that she burned down her house and lost her four pets in the tragedy. In an open letter posted to her Instagram, the actress says the flames quickly took over her home, leaving her only two minutes to save her three children.
“As I was getting my kids ready for bed and finishing their bath time, smoke started coming out of the tub. When I looked down the hallway, a river of thick black smoke had already formed and was filling the house.
In your opinion, the fire happened a few months ago and the family still mourns the loss of the animals who ended up dying in the tragedy.
Catherine used the sharing moment to thank everyone who helped her through the situation, including neighbors, firefighters, investigators, family members, and Grey’s Anatomy co-stars who even donated clothes and supplies for her family.
“What we have learned is that the only thing that matters is the people (and beings) we love. The only thing that matters is the community. We wouldn’t be here without him and we are very grateful to him.”
