The arrival of Shakira and her children in the United States continues to give people something to talk about, now the journalist María Elvira Salazar, federal representative of Miami, welcomed the singer with a strange message on Twitter that refers to the controversial topic “BZRP Music Sessions #53′.
With a short text on the aforementioned social network, the member of the United States House of Representatives wrote:
“Shakira, you are clearly welcome in Miami. This is your city and may it swallow someone else. — Maria Elvira Salazar, Federal Representative of Miami,” read the tweet dated April 3, a day after the Colombian’s departure from Barcelona .
The interpreter of “Monotonía” spends a few days of vacation with her children in an unknown destination, before Milan and Sasha resume their school activities at their new school.
Shakira and Piqué’s strained relationship
Spanish newspaper Vanitatis reported that Shakira’s sudden decision to leave Barcelona for good would have upset Gerard Pique, as it is understood he was only notified on Thursday 30 March.
“On Friday morning, Shakira and Piqué had a very tense conversation.”
The singer reportedly decided to fly to Miami because her father’s doctors gave her the green light, despite her father William Mebarak’s delicate health.
“[Le dijo] that he had made the decision after getting the ‘OK’ from his father’s doctors on Thursday night, also via email,” he says.
The ex-footballer’s annoyance would also have to do with what was said to the press about his move.
“It was then that Shakira reminded him that two weeks ago she had received a letter signed by his father, Joan Piqué, asking him to leave the house in Esplugues de Llobregat before April 20,” reads his article Vanitatis. “But Gerrard didn’t pay attention to detail, he focused on his arguments and there was no ‘goodbye’.
