Problems with the permanent frontman of Aerosmith Steven Tyler began in December last year. It was then that the vocalist’s ex-girlfriend Julia Holcomb accused him of sexual abuse. According to the victim, the incident occurred in 1973, when she was only 16, and Tyler — 25. After the incident, she became pregnant, but the musician forced her to have an abortion. Lately Stephen decided to answer these accusations. The artist assures that the plaintiff has agreed to an intimate relationship, and asks to withdraw the lawsuit.
According to court documents obtained by Rolling Stone, Tyler, 75, cited 24 affirmative defenses to refute the allegations. For example, the singer’s lawyers stated that the plaintiff “never sustained any injury as a result of any action by the defendant.” Moreover, at the time of the alleged incident, he acted as the legal guardian of the girl, and therefore has immunity.

Note that Julia Holcomb sued the musician in Los Angeles just after the state of California lifted the statute of limitations for filing sexual assault claims. The lawsuit stated that Holcomb “was unable to withstand the power, fame and significant financial opportunities” of Tyler. The girl claimed that the musician convinced her that it was a “romantic love affair.” He took her to his concerts, supplied her with alcohol and illegal substances.
