Drew Barrymore AND Brooke Shields revealed during the program The Drew Barrymore Show. They vented about their relationships with their mothers.

The two started working very young. Drew spoke about the problems he had with drugs in his youth. She emancipated herself from her parents at the age of 14 due to the problematic relationship.

“We both had mothers who needed to guide us and keep us alive and take care of us,” Brooke continued. “And they were broken,” she said, referring to their emotional side.

Drew then took the opportunity to reveal that her mother, Jaid, was romantically involved with her boyfriends: “I was so confused about sexuality because my mother would go and stay with my boys.”

He asked the host about his relationship with his mother and if he had experienced anything similar. “No, because she was in love with me. I was her main focus on her,” the ‘Pretty Girl’ star said of her mother, Teri Shields (1933-2012). “And we were both cut off from our sexuality. I should have remained a virgin,” Brooke vented. The presenter claimed to have the same feeling from her mother.
