Carol G. revealed one of the episodes in his life that connected a member of his family Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar.
He is considered the founder and leader of the Medellín cartel and one of the most notorious criminals in Colombia, where he created a state of war in the 1980s and 1990s.

In an interview for the latest print edition of GQ Mexico magazine, Karol G revealed what happened in the past between her mother, Martha Navarro, and Pablo Escobar.
“One night when Escobar dined at the restaurant where he worked“, the singer narrated. She left him a tip that would change the family’s life and help her up,” he said.
Although Karol G now admits that her family would have been helped by the drug dealer, the singer also recognizes what Escobar did to her country.
” My country has a stereotype that the only thing we have there is drugs and drug dealing. And no, that time is over“, assured the interpreter.
“I still see people talking about Pablo Escobar because people see him as a character and see him because he’s in a series, but in my country it is something that caused a lot of damage“, he admitted.
Pablo Escobar died at the age of 44 on December 2, 1993 in the middle of an operation that took place around a house where he was hiding in the neighborhood of Los Olivos, Medellín.
The ‘Tusa’ singer spoke candidly about how she’s trying to support Colombia and remove the “stereotypes” she says she’s subjected to.
“To be able to put my grain of sand and say that I am part of the small group of artists that can we do something for my countryIt’s unbelievable,” he said.
His statements Karol G is part of the interview she gave to GQ Mexico whom he accused of “issue numbering” on his body in the photos accompanying the text and cover.
“My GQ magazine cover came out today, a cover with an image that doesn’t represent me. My face doesn’t look like this, my body doesn’t look like this, and I’m very happy and comfortable with my natural appearance.” he wrote on Instagram last Thursday, April 6.
