The singer started the video by lamenting the absence. “I was really, really sick! On the 22nd of last month, I felt sick at home and my doctors asked me to go to the hospital. At first I was dehydrated,” he said.
The day after being admitted to the hospital, Preta suffered “septic shock, caused by a bacterium” that entered her body. According to her, there are several possibilities for such an event, but there is still no certainty, however, her medical team suspects that it occurred through the catheter.
“They were very difficult moments. I went through very delicate moments. […] I’m still in rehab. I’ve had a few sequels because of that, one of them is in the lung,” she related.
Despite the situation, Preta reassured the public, declaring that she was “well assisted”, with “her mind in place” and surrounded by the affection of friends and family. She also stressed that she is hopeful for her recovery, so she can return to her cancer treatment, which was suspended due to her septic shock.
