As if it were ‘Harry Potter’ himself, Freddie Highmore saw himself hiding in a broom in a television office, to prevent the presenter of a program he was attending from seeing him. Although it sounds surreal, it has an explanation (not entirely logical, but an explanation nonetheless).
Freddie Highmore, star of the series ‘The Good Doctor’, recently went to Jimmy Kimmel’s show, ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’, and recounted this strange event, which had happened to him in the past.
“I’m going to try not to say his name, but this host doesn’t like to see his guests before the show,Highmore commented.TOYeah, I was backstage, on the way, with a couple of the producers. They looked ahead and saw the presenter at the end of the hall. They were very, very scared.“
“They took me and put me through the first door in the corridor, and it was a broom. a dark broom,Highmore continued explaining.I was in there for a minute. They sounded like secret agents talking on the phone, saying, ‘Is it clear? We can go out? They left?’ It was terrible.”
Jimmy Kimmel, perplexed, would ask him, “Did they put you in that closet?” To which Highmore replied: “And then we left and continued walking as if nothing had happened!”
Despite Kimmel’s attempts to discover the identity of the host or presenter of said show, Highmore remained discreet and did not reveal the information. He only dared to hint when Kimmel jokingly said: “Kathie Lee Gifford did that to you?“, to which the actor replied:”You are close“.
“I didn’t think it looked good for me to say, ‘Nice to meet you, I just got put in a closet.’,” joked the actor, to close the topic.
The interpreter has just released the sixth season of the medical drama he leads in 2023. In addition, ‘The Good Doctor’ is also developing a legal spin-off this year, titled ‘The Good Lawyer’, which will follow the story of a young lawyer, who suffers from the same OCD as Highmore’s character, in the original series.
Highmore has starred from a young age in numerous films such as ‘Finding Neverland’ or ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’. In addition, she has also starred in ‘Bates Motel’, the spin-off series that emerged as a result of Hitchcock’s success, ‘Psycho’in which he gave life to Norman Bates, during five batches of episodes.
