Actor Jonathan Majors has received new allegations from women who are allegedly victims of domestic violence, harassment and abuse. Sources close to Variety said the women came forward after their March 25 arrest.
The women are willing to work with the District Attorney’s office in Manhattan, New York, to ensure the progress of the case against Majors, which moves to a hearing on May 8. There is a suspicion that other victims may be speaking, which could result in the actor’s permanent arrest.
So far, the prosecution has declined to comment on the new allegations. Majors’ defense, Priya Chaudhry, bolstered the defendant’s innocence. “Jonathan Majors is innocent and has not abused anyone. We have provided irrefutable evidence to the district attorney that the allegations are false. We are confident that he will be fully cleared,” the attorney said.
Marvel studios are also silent, but rumors point out that they have already created a “contingency plan” in case they decide to fire him, as has happened with other productions. It is worth mentioning that the first victim was reportedly working on ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ which came out earlier this year.
“I think the truth is that everyone is waiting to see what Marvel does,” said a source familiar with Jonathan Majors’ situation. “That doesn’t mean everyone [os outros estúdios] it will do the same thing, but that’s what people are looking for.”
