Artist detailed domestic violence incident and revealed threat to child custody dispute
Last week, Gretchen gave a revealing interview to the show Giuliaof the Portuguese broadcaster SICTV. In it, the artist detailed episodes from Domestic violence and threatens that she suffered from one of her ex-husbands.
She didn’t name names, but revealed that it was her second husband, the businessman Decius Nascimento. Gretchen said the story happened more than 35 years ago and she called the man she was married to a “psychopath.”
“I lived in a gilded cage. He was very rich and I was always surrounded by security and a chauffeur,” she said. The 63-year-old artist said her ex-husband hit her for showering with her mother and sisters after a day at the beach.

Gretchen then revealed a threatening incident soon after the relationship ended, when she and her ex disputed custody of their son, Décio Jr., from whom she’s been apart for nearly 30 years.
“He was very aggressive and put a gun to my neck and said, ‘You either leave him with me, or I’ll kill them both. Give custody to me.’ And I said, ‘Well, first of all my life son”.
The artist explained that she had tried to communicate with the boy, but her ex-husband prevented any attempt at approximation. “Actually, my son only learned the real story after he became an adult,” she added.
