A grandiose cosplay exhibition “In a Galaxy Far, Far Away” has opened in Pavilion No. 21 at VDNKh, timed to coincide with World Star Wars Day. Of course, the opening of a large-scale and unparalleled project in Russia was not without show business stars, many of whom are devoted fans of the universe created by George Lucas. Thus, one of the first to visit the exhibition was theater and film actress Irina Bezrukova, who did not miss the opportunity to take pictures with the legendary characters of Star Wars.

I never dreamed that I would be inside Star Wars. This is an incredible feeling, as if I had been on the set, – Irina shared her impressions. – The exhibition captures from the very beginning, as soon as you see the imperial stormtroopers in the hall. You can look at the costumes of the characters, see the great Master Yoda — Here, in a good way, you fall into childhood. I like the Star Wars universe: I watched all the episodes and spin-offs associated with them. As a cinematographer, I admire the imagination, the detail, the incredible vision of George Lucas and the execution of his ideas. Few have managed to create such a realistic world.

Meeting with Princess Leia, Darth Vader, General Grievous, Senator Palpatine, Luke Skywalker, The Mandalorian and, of course, Master Yoda — only a small part of the surprises that await the guests of the exhibition. The exposition spread over an area of ​​more than 1,600 square meters, including more than two hundred exhibits, among which you can find not only animatronic representatives of alien races, but also space technology, full-scale installations-reconstructions of worlds, as well as a unique gallery of costumes from the cult movie saga.
