Last night, in addition to the film “Crimes of the Future” in Cannes, they showed the film “The decision to stay” (in another version – “The decision to leave”). The South Korean detective film directed by Park Chang Wook, which was included in the main competition program, came to see Naomi Campbell (more about her outfit and why the supermodel was in a bad mood, we told here), models Coco Rocha, Sara Sampaio and Anya Rubik, Lee John Jae, Rossi de Palma, Charlotte Le Bon and others. The director himself also posed on the red carpet with Chinese actress Tang Wei and Korean actor Park Hae-il, who starred in the film.
The film tells about the investigation into the death of a man in the mountains, which leads the respectable detective Hae-jun to So-re, the widow of the deceased. The script for the film was written by Park Chan Wook and Jung So Kyung, who have already worked together on the films “Sympathy for Lady Vengeance”, “I’m a Cyborg, But It’s Okay”, “Thirst” and “The Handmaid”. Filming began in October 2020, but then the film was in post-production for a long time.
