At this moment, in Westminster Abbey, the official ceremony of accession to the throne of King Charles III and his wife, Queen Consort Camilla, who from that day will be called simply Queen, is taking place. Two thousand invited guests follow the exciting action in the hall. Among them are the heads of state who gathered in London the day before, and, of course, relatives of the royal couple. Among them today you can see Camilla’s ex-husband, as well as the youngest son of Charles III, Prince Harry, who flew home on a private flight and will go back to America today to celebrate his son’s birthday – on the day of the coronation Archie turns 4 years old. At the ceremony, Harry was given a seat in the third row, along with his cousins, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice.

But his brother Prince William, together with his eldest son Prince George, today is directly involved in the procession itself. Therefore, the Welsh family arrived separately at the walls of the abbey. 8-year-old George, who is acting as a royal page today, was assigned to his grandfather-king, and therefore only his younger sister and brother, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, were in the car with Kate and William.

Their appearance in public has become especially spectacular thanks in large part to Kate Middleton, who these days enchants with her choice of outfits. There has been a lot of speculation about who will be the designer of the image of the Princess of Wales for the coronation ceremony. This time, Kate opted for an Alexander McQueen gown and gown made of ivory silk crepe and embroidered with silver thread floral elements in the form of roses, thistles, daffodils and shamrocks – symbols of the four countries of the Commonwealth. To the surprise of many, she didn’t wear a tiara and instead opted for a Jess Collett x Alexander McQueen headpiece with crystals and silver 3D leaves. She completed the look with two iconic pieces of jewelry – pearl and diamond earrings that once belonged to Princess Diana, as well as a necklace that King George VI gave to his daughter, the late Queen Elizabeth II, in 1950.
Princess Charlotte took on the look of her mother, also wearing an Alexander McQueen gown and a smaller version of the headpiece, while Louis wore a blue Hainsworth Garter genuine leather tunic with specially designed lace embellishment at the collar and cuffs.

After the ceremony, Kate, along with William, George, Charlotte and Louis, will join the procession back to Buckingham Palace for the golden state carriage, which will include the king and queen. In addition, the family will later appear on the balcony of the palace, from where they will greet the hundreds of assembled fans.
