On social media, family members claim it was caused by worsening chronic kidney problems.
“The family, dismayed and inconsolable, announces the death of Palmira Nery da Silva Onofre, known as Nonna Palmirinha, at the age of 91, which took place today, May 7, at 11:20 due to worsening chronic kidney problems. He was hospitalized at the Paulista Unit of the Alemão Oswaldo Cruz Hospital, from April 11”, the post stated on his official account.
In 2020, the presenter was hospitalized twice for urinary tract infection. As well as a third time, it was due to low blood sodium.
