On this May 8, meet celebrities who also venture into the world of plastic arts
This Monday, May 8, is celebrated the Plastic Artist Day, created to celebrate and recognize the contributions of artists here in Brazil. While many of us are familiar with famous visual artists like Tarsila do Amaral and Anita Malfatti, there are many celebrities who are also talented visual artists that you may not know about.
That’s why we’ve selected five celebrities who also make significant contributions to the world of visual arts. Watch:
Arnaldo Antunes
Singer-songwriter Arnaldo Antunes is known for his work within the band Titãs. However, he is also a respected visual artist. The artist is known for mixing various types of art and has held exhibitions throughout Brazil with works of calligraphy, collage and even poetic objects.
Arnaldo Battista
Another singer investing in a career in the visual arts is Arnaldo Baptista. The legendary musician has even won a digital gallery with his detailed and colorful works, launching in 2022.
Carlinhos Brown
The singer and judge of “The Voice Brasil” is also a painter. In fact, Carlinhos Brown already has more than 800 completed paintings. In 2019, the singer exhibited his works in Madrid, Spain.
Anne Caroline
Continuing our list of celebrities who also have their side as a plastic artist, we come to Ana Carolina. The MPB singer’s passion for abstract painting started as a hobby but has since morphed into something bigger. By the way, in 2015, the singer exhibited her works in Vila Mariana, São Paulo.
Sergio Guize
The “Verdades Secretas 2” actor even created a website, in 2022, to sell his paintings, called “Banca do Guizé”. In 2017, Sérgio Guizé also participated in an exhibition in São Paulo, with his watercolors inspired by the soap opera “Êta Mundo Bom!” of Globe.
