With no money and hoping to collect the inheritance left to him by his dead mother, Jose Emilio Levy revealed that he has had a rough few months in which he even tried to kill himself.
His only son Mariana Levy, who died in April 2005; when he was only 9 months old, he gave an interview to TVNotas magazine released on Tuesday, May 16, in which he recounted the difficulties he faced recently.
The 18-year-old is estranged from Ana Bárbarawho trained and raised him after the death of the actress, and also has no communication her older sister, Maria Levy;whom he accused of “preventing” him from claiming his rightful inheritance.
Mariana Levy’s son admits he’s ‘having a really bad time’
The boy said that he has been living alone for some time since he left his father’s house, José María Fernández “El Pirru”, who married Ana Bárbara in 2006 less than a year after Mariana Levy’s death.
“For now I live alone and I’m having a really bad time” said the young man.
“I had already found two jobs; first I was a chef in a restaurant, but I didn’t have enough experience; and then I worked as a bartender, but I felt very tired, overworked, I missed a day and they fired me,” he confessed.
“It was hard enough to run out of money”he admitted, “there are weeks when my head hurts a lot from the desperation and anxiety of finding a job, but the neighbors have helped me.”
The youngest of Mariana Levy’s three children said he was forced to sell food alone in Mexico to make ends meet.
” I started selling breakfasts, cakes, chilaquiles so that the wardens of my sub-division can survive, but at the moment I am looking for a permanent job,” he said.
The situation he is facing comes amid a legal battle he has assured is in the Mexican courts to his sister Paula Levy; they can collect the inheritance that corresponds to them.
“This already seems like a joke, 18 years go by without anything being solved and there have been many people who have taken advantage of the legacy“, he accused. In the same interview he pointed out his older half-sister, Maria Levy;to be an “obstacle” to resolving this situation.

In the speech, the boy also mentioned that he recently wanted to kill himself: “Yes, I felt very lonely, there were many moments and I will be honest: Two months ago I tried to take my own lifebut the dose wasn’t right and… I’m still here for a reason.”
“I no longer live with my father, so I was at home in Cuernavaca and I took all the pills and antidepressants that were in a box,” he said.
“I went to bed, put on a movie and felt calm, because I thought: “I’m going to see my mom”I even felt happiness,” he explained.
“He said: “I almost hug her”but as Paula told them when she tried the same thing, I think she saved me too, at that moment I saw my mom saying to me, “Don’t give up, open your eyes,” she confessed.
He said he had “already written” to his friends “to say goodbye” and they started calling him.
“At first I didn’t react to so many pills I had taken it, but later I felt strong and told them to forgive me, that everything was fine.”
He said he has ‘no idea’ how he got out of this situation as he ‘didn’t throw up, didn’t go to the hospital’: ‘The next day I just woke up really tired which went away as the day went on. .”
“I already understood I have to keep fightingthat I have a lot ahead of me,” he warned.
” I’ve been going to therapy my whole life., ten psychiatrists, eight psychologists, I’ve taken anti-depressants, but the truth is that something didn’t work for me. I prefer to write my feelings to vent.”
He shared that he has been taking antidepressants for two years: “I used to be a happy, productive person, but several months ago I stopped taking them because I didn’t have enough money to buy them“.
At the end of last February, his sister Paula Levy, 21, revealed to the same magazine that she also tried to kill herself as a teenager.
She was asked if she believed her mother “was there like an angel to prevent her from dying”: “Of course. Before I was more of an atheist, I said, ‘My mother is already dead and her spirit is not there.'”
“But right now I could assure you that he is here with us and that he is giving me incredible poses, that he would say, ‘Only you could help me like this,'” he said at the time.
After the death of Mariana Levy, The minor children of the actress were trained by Ana Bárbara until she split from ‘El Pirru’ in 2010.
María Levy, the eldest and daughter of Ariel López Padilla, was left in the care of her grandmother Talina Fernández.
