São Paulo justice ruled that singer MC Gui should pay R$ 5,000 in procedural costs after accusing app driver Alef Santos da Conceição of stealing his bags with donations in 2020.

The decision was released last Thursday, 18. In April, MC Gui asked to pay the amount in six installments. Now, the judge has rejected the request and granted a deadline of 15 days for the full payment of the amount.

On Tuesday 16 the value of the trial for moral damages was blocked on the singer’s account. The information was confirmed by the singer’s team when Earth on Tuesday. According to MC Gui’s press office, the judge only asked for the value of the lawsuit to be frozen, and not the artist’s bank accounts.

The MC allegedly claimed that he did not have “the financial resources to pay the costs determined” in the trial.

The former participant of A Fazenda was sentenced in 2021 to compensate R$ 12 thousand for moral damages to the driver. The defense allegedly filed an appeal, which was rejected, and the debt already amounts to R$ 19.5 thousand. The request for payment in 12 installments was rejected.
