“Hot even in his 80s”: the journalist praised the form of Harrison Ford in Cannes

Harrison Ford first played Indiana Jones in 1981’s Raiders of the Lost Ark. And now, after more than four decades, the Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Fate premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. 80-year-old Ford received a long applause, and many critics called the picture a worthy and emotional farewell to the hero. At a press conference for the latest film in the franchise, one of the journalists told Harrison that she still finds him “hot”.

I have been blessed with this body. Thank you for noticing,” joked the 80-year-old Ford.

In recent years, the leading man has only increased his workload. Ford recently starred in Apple TV+’s Therapy, completed filming on the first season of 1923, the Yellowstone spin-off, and will join the Marvel Universe as President Thaddeus Ross in Captain America: The New World Order. The actor said that now he needs rest.

I need to sit down and get some rest. I love this job and I love this character and I love what he brought to my life,” said Harrison.

This year in Cannes they remembered the path of the actor and showed a video with his most famous works. Afterwards, director Thierry Fremaux invited Harrison to take the stage to receive the Palme d’Or. It was clearly very difficult for Ford to restrain his emotions.

I am very touched by this. They say when you are about to die you see your life flash before my eyes and I just saw my life flash before my eyes. Most of my life, but not all of my life,” he said from the stage.

The world premiere of the action movie Indiana Jones 5 will take place on June 30, 2023. The film also stars Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, John Rhys-Davies and Mads Mikkelsen as the main villain. The events of the picture will unfold in 1969. You can watch the trailer here.
