João Diamante chose typically Brazilian ingredients and followed the first lady’s suggestions
The Latin American presidents gathered in Brasilia attended a dinner hosted by Lula and Janja at the Itamaraty Palace.
The first lady invited chef João Diamante to design the menu. He is a judge on Globo’s “My Mother Cooks Better Than Yours” show.
The first season of the attraction led by Leandro Hassum was aired between January and April and which also saw chef Paola Carosella on the jury.
In a video posted on social media, Janja said she met Diamante at a food safety meeting in Morro da Babilônia, Rio, after exchanging messages on Twitter.
