The influencer can still appeal the decision; he had made publications saying that the man would have refused to close the window due to health protocols

the influencer Camila Loures was ordered to pay R$ 25,000 in moral damages to a driver of Super. The competent judge issued the sentence in April, but the decision was only made public this Thursday 1. The case went to the 7th Civil Court of Court of Justice of São Paulo (TJSP).

According to the decision, Camila still owes 15% of the costs, court costs and legal fees. You can appeal the decision. OR Stadium contacted the influencer’s press office, but received no response until posting.

The case started in 2022, when Camila posted a sequence of stories about Instagram in which she claimed to have been left on the street by an app driver. She reportedly refused to close the car windows due to health protocols COVID-19.

“I’ve never been through it, what despair,” the influencer said, in tears, at the time. “I just got into the Uber and asked, ‘Kid, can you close the window? It’s windy in my face (sic) and it’s cold.’ He said, ‘I can’t close it, covid protocols,'” he said.

Camila continued to insist, until the man told the influencer to get out of the vehicle and ask for another car via the application. “I started shaking, I don’t know what happened, what he had against me,” commented the influencer, who exposed a screenshot with the driver’s name and photo.

After the crash, Uber went public in a post about Twitter to signal that the man was still active on the platform and tightened the app’s health requirements. “Many people can still feel safer following the protocols, so we always ask that each respect the other’s individual preferences. If anyone involved feels uncomfortable, they can always cancel the trip,” she wrote.
