Sharon Stone reveals she was abandoned by Hollywood after suffering a stroke

At 65 years old, the star of “Basic Instinct” Sharon Stone not only looks great, as we regularly see when looking at her fresh pictures, but also continues, albeit rarely, to act in films. However, this was not always the case. At The Hollywood Reporter Raising Our Voices Gala Lunch this past Wednesday, the actress spoke about how the film industry responded to her health problems – in 2001, Sharon suffered a stroke that almost cost her her life.

I’ve been recovering for seven years, and since then I haven’t had a job. When it first happened, I didn’t want to tell anyone, because you know that if something goes wrong with you, you will leave. Something went wrong with me and I was gone for 20 years. I didn’t have a job. At some point in my life, I was a very big movie star,” the star shared.

This is not the first time Stone has spoken about his stroke. Earlier on the Good Morning Britain show, she admitted that at that moment she suffered a clinical death.

People describe this state in different ways: some argue from a scientific point of view, while others from a spiritual one. I agree with these two views. When it happened to me, I had all the things that people usually talk about: the light at the end of the tunnel and the feeling that I left the body. I seemed to see dead people. It’s kind of an ephemeral feeling. We didn’t have a dialogue as such, but we talked, then I had a terrible pain – as if I had been hit with a chest, the actress recalled.

Sharon admitted that due to a stroke, she had to do more than 300 injections of Botox and fillers to even out parts of her face. This period of recovery, which fell on the loss of the status of the first Hollywood beauty and the adoption of age, Stone experienced very painfully.

I went into the bathroom with a bottle of wine, locked the door, and told myself that I would not go out until I could fully accept my body. I started to cry when I saw my aging face and body in the mirror. But you are not powerless, you can significantly slow down this process if you practice discipline and practice a lot.
