With pneumonia, Roberto Kovalick is out of ‘Hora 1’, says the journalist

Journalist Roberto Kovalick, 58, news anchor now 1from the Globe TV, is recovering from pneumonia at home. He was replaced by reporter Ana Paula Campos on the attraction, which airs Monday through Friday, opening the station’s programming at 4am.

The information was confirmed by the columnist Cristina Padiglione, of Folha de São Paulo. It was also reported that Kovalick started preparations in March to compete in São Silvestre later this year. The project has produced a series for the hour 1with advice on nutrition and fitness, as well as training sessions supervised by specialists.

Pneumonia forced the journalist to temporarily abandon his studies and training for the marathon. According to the column, the prediction is that he will recover in time to return next Monday, the 12th.

During Carnival, Kovalick interrupted his Carnival vacation to work covering the floods and landslides that occurred in São Sebastião on the coast of São Paulo where he was based. Now, on another long vacation, he will be bedridden for pneumonia treatment.
