Thaynara OG invested BRL 2 million out of her own pocket in a celebrity June party

Thaynara OG has doubled its investment for the current edition of “São João da Thay”, one of the most anticipated June parties by celebrities. According to the influencer, the charity event cost around BRL 5 million, of which BRL 2 million would come out of his pocket.

The million-dollar attraction promotes culture and tourism in the Maranhão region, as well as having its profits returned to entities supported by the United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef).

On social media, Thaynara showed part of the structure and decoration of the current edition. The event, stopped for two years, has returned to a larger space, in the São Luís Shopping parking lot.

“Last year I was very insecure [de realizar o evento] because I thought like this: ‘We are coming back from a pandemic and I don’t know how strong the event is to get sponsorships, guests and a nice lineup’. So, the investment came out of my pocket by almost BRL 2 million,” Thaynara reported.

The influencer stressed that the celebrations are held only for social causes. “It really hurts me to read when they think I’m doing the event to make money, when it’s the other way around,” she said. “It is the moment in my career, in my trajectory, where I invest more money out of my own pocket to make it happen. We have sponsors, supporters, but a lot of demand for my investment. This year it will be an event that revolves around BRL 5 million. “

Despite the scale of the event, Thaynara revealed that the profits returned to Unicef are far less than the investment.

“Put São Luís on this map of big events, big festivals to show that, yes, our city is capable of hosting big events like this. I know it involves a lot because when we increase the structure there are more expenses, but I have this big dream to come up with a check for BRL 1 million to Unicef and make this donation.”

In addition to the large presence of former BBBs, the event saw concerts by artists such as Alcione and Ivete Sangalo.
