What is closer to you: theater, cinema or television?
Definitely — movie. I love cinema with all my heart and this love is forever! I would like to work in the theatre. And also — in scoring movies, games and audiobooks.
The most memorable role of your entire career?
For me, this is Alice from Silver Skates. First starring role in a big feature film of this magnitude, incredible co-stars and an amazing crew. I love!
Why should our readers watch the new film Through Time?
Because this is a film about how the time machine was invented in the USSR. This is fantastic, so the movie will have cool special effects, and the confrontation between good and evil, and a love line between two times.
What is your most memorable moment from filming?
In one of the scenes, my Tina appears many, many years after the main plot events. Plastic makeup was used for this scene — a mask made from a cast of my face. This is a very long process in itself, it was hard to sit in it, breathe — and still need to play the scene in English! I will never forget these feelings. (smiling) I liked it, I love such reincarnations.
How would you describe your character from the film?
Tina — scientist: she is smart, very brave, self-confident, but at the same time sensitive and gentle. It was interesting for me to explore such a character and play a girl from the USSR. I myself would like to be in that time for a day.
Name the best movie of all time.
One is incredibly difficult to choose. Can I name at least two? (smiling) “The Dark Knight” by Christopher Nolan and “Life is Beautiful” (“La vita è bella”) by Roberto Benigni.
Name three favorite actors.
Andrey Mironov, Hugh Laurie, Heath Ledger.
Which of the latest series impressed you the most?
It’s also very hard to choose one! (smiling) I rarely watch shows on time. — I basically try to “catch up” with what has already been released and watch several seasons at once. I love House, Stranger Things and Fargo. From the latest domestic — “Actresses”, “Hello again.” But if you have to choose one — let there be darkness.
Favorite fantasy movie?
“Interstellar”!
What story/movie would you like to be in?
In a movie about a magical world! I would really like to play a robber, a rock guitarist or a villain. (smiling)
