Johnny Depp’s reaction to the decision of the court against Amber Heard: “The jury gave me back my life”

Today, Johnny Depp won the case against his ex-wife – actress Amber Heard. The jury found her guilty of libel about him. This was reported by the television network Law & Crime, broadcasting the process from and to several weeks.

As we said, Heard will have to pay her ex-husband $15 million for spreading false information about Depp’s abuse. By doing this, she harmed the career and reputation of the actor. Depp, in turn, will pay Hurd 2 million, but this does not seem to depress him much, since in the end he will still win.

Depp was not present at the announcement of the verdict – before the meeting, he flew to the UK. He wrote a whole open letter, at the end of which he left his signature:

Six years ago, my life, the lives of my children and my loved ones, as well as those who supported and believed in me for many years, changed forever. In the blink of an eye.

False and very serious initial accusations appeared in the media, which caused an avalanche of hatred. However, nothing was presented officially. It circumnavigated the globe at two revolutions per nanosecond and impacted my life and career like an earthquake.

Six years later, a jury gave me back my life. I am truly grateful to them.

My decision to proceed with this business, knowing full well the extent of the legal obstacles I would face and the inevitability of broadcasting this spectacle of my life to the whole world, was made only after much deliberation.

From the very beginning, the purpose of this case was to reveal the truth, regardless of the outcome. To tell the truth was something I owed to my children and to all those who remained steadfast in their support for me. I feel at peace knowing that I have finally achieved it.

I was overwhelmed by the love, tremendous support and kindness I received from everyone. I hope that my commitment to telling the truth has helped other men and women in my situation and that those who support them never give up. I also hope that the presumption of innocence will now return until they are proven guilty, both in the courts and in the media.

I want to acknowledge the noble work of the judge, jury, court officers, and sheriffs who sacrificed their time to get to this point, as well as my diligent and unwavering legal team, who did an exceptional job in helping me tell the truth.

The best is yet to come and a new chapter has finally begun.

Veritas numquam perit.

Truth never dies.
