Large-scale celebrations dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Queen’s reign are in full swing. Yesterday, the long-awaited Trooping the Color parade took place in London, and the British saw Elizabeth with their own eyes on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. And today, a festive liturgy in honor of the Queen was held at St. Paul’s Cathedral. Elizabeth herself could not attend the service, but Prince William and Kate Middleton pleased the press and the public with their presence.
As usual, elegant Kate dressed in a truly summer sunny yellow outfit. Her structured Emilia Wickstead dress and Philip Treacy floral hat paired with brown suede heels. William was dressed in a traditional tuxedo suit. Before going to the cathedral, the Cambridges talked with the Archbishop of York, and then, together with Charles and Camilla, led the official part of the liturgy.

In addition to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the service was attended by Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, who together with them officially replaced Elizabeth, Princess Eugenie and Beatrice with their husbands and children, and even Prince Andrew, who is involved in a sex scandal, and most recently had COVID-19. In addition to those members of the royal family that we regularly see at the public events of the palace, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry attended the service, who came to London specifically to congratulate Her Majesty.
Note that the festivities will be extended until Sunday. Therefore, Kate and William will probably still have time to chat with Megan and Harry, as well as meet baby Lilibet, who came to London for the first time. This coming weekend, the palace will host a massive concert featuring pop stars Dinah Ross, Queen and Nile Rodgers, followed by a horse race and another grand parade on the streets of the British capital later on.
