Why was Anuel in prison?
On April 3, 2016, Anuel AA was arrested as he was leaving a nightclub in Santurce, Puerto Rico, because authorities charged him with illegal possession of firearms after seizing three guns, nine chargers and more than 150 rounds of ammunition.
It was on June 19, 2017 that the court sentenced him 30 months in federal prison In Puerto Rico. But after serving 10 months in prison, he was released in May 2018 for good behavior.
During his time in prison, the rapper dedicated himself to recording his album “Real Hasta la Muerte”, which was released the day he was released.
Anuel celebrates his freedom after saying he has a new girlfriend
His Instagram message comes just days after pictures were released of him kissing Venezuelan model Laury Saavedra, who is said to be his new girlfriend.
Pictures emerged last weekend of the couple enjoying a fun day out at Disneyland Orlando with Pablito, their first-born son.
Anuel had previously shared a photo with Laury on his Instagram stories, although at the time it was unknown if she was a video model or his new partner.
