Sam Asghari Confirms Divorce From Britney Spears: ‘Shit Happens’

Model and personal trainer Sam Asghari took to Instagram to talk for the first time about his divorce from singer Britney Spears. He confirmed the separation in a short text, posted in the Stories of his profile on Thursday evening (17/8).

“After 6 years of love and commitment to each other, my wife and I have decided to end our journey together,” Sam began. “We will carry the love and respect that we have for each other and I always wish her the best. Shit happens,” he summed up.

At the end of his speech, Asghari asked the singer’s fans to be “kind and understanding” in this delicate moment. “Asking for privacy seems ridiculous to me. So I’m just asking everyone … to be kind and understanding,” she concluded.

The six-year date refers to the courtship of the couple. Britney Spears and Sam Asghari met while recording the ‘Slumber Party’ music video in 2016. Soon after, they started dating. But they only got married after the end of the singer’s guardianship, in a ceremony held in September 2021. The marriage therefore lasted less than two years and would have ended in a fight.
