In an interview with RJTV, the actor says he questioned the attacker before the assault: “Aren’t you open?”
Victor Meyniel said he questioned Yuri, his attacker, moments before the violent incident. In an interview with RJTV this Monday 4, the actor recalled talking about Yuri’s exacerbated reaction to the kiss they shared, trying to understand the reason for the sudden uproar.
“Everything was quiet. We were on the sofa and nothing happened but a kiss. His friend’s arrival proved to be the key to the fact that I didn’t understand what was going on,” she says. “And I, shocked, asked, ‘What happened? Why did you suddenly change your attitude? We were making out on your sofa. Aren’t you outside?'”

After this interrogation, the conflict escalated to physical assault which was captured on the building’s security cameras. In the video, Yuri can be seen repeatedly hitting the fallen Victor, who was struggling to defend himself from the attacks. “I desperately asked him to stop,” he said.
Through his social media, the actor commented on the episode. With still visible scars from the crash, Meyniel discussed her process of “emotional healing” and the importance of revisiting the traumatic event.
“I’m going through a process, often revisiting what happened and sometimes it’s nice to relive it, because it’s an act of desensitization,” the actor explained. He highlighted how he applied learning from therapy to deal with feelings associated with trauma.
Meyniel also expressed his gratitude to the support network that supported him. “I really wanted to thank you. You are the pillar and I have nothing to say. All the love in the world. Love with love. Hate doesn’t matter,” he stressed.

Yuri de Moura Alexandre was arrested in the act and taken to the Copacabana police station, which is currently investigating the incident. The charges include physical assault and bias-motivated name-calling. If convicted, he faces a prison sentence of between 2 and 5 years.
