Four women report being victims of the comedian and actor; he denies it
Comedian and actor Russell Brandex-husband of Katy Perry, is accused of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse by four women. They report being victimized by Brand for seven years at the height of his fame, from 2006 to 2013.
The case comes to light following a joint investigation conducted by newspapers The Sunday Times, The Times and the investigative program Dispatchesfrom Channel 4.
After the reports aired, Brand denied the allegations and stated that his relationships were “absolutely consensual.” The statements were made in a video, published on Instagram on Friday the 15th.
“These allegations date back to the time when I worked in mainstream media, when I was always in newspapers, when I worked in films, as I wrote extensively in my books, I was very promiscuous. But during the period of promiscuity, my relationships were absolutely consensual. I was transparent about it and I am transparent about it now,” he said.

- – One of the women says she was raped by Brand in Los Angeles, United States, at his home.
- – The second one says Brand attacked her. She was 16 years old and still in school, while the actor was 30 years old. According to her, they were living in an emotionally abusive and controlling relationship.
- – Another, the third victim, claims that Brand sexually assaulted her. She says she worked with him in Los Angeles and was threatened by him, who said she would take legal action if she told anyone about her allegations.
- – The fourth woman recalls being sexually, physically and emotionally abused by Brand.
