With the climate of Saint Valentine, nothing more right than entering the subject in all possible aspects. Plan something romantic, watch adorable movies, and use heart emojis more than ever.
While declarations of love circulate all over the web, others have already been released in the media for a long time … the songs. What is not lacking in the musical world are romantic songs that portray this feeling in several possible ways.
Taking into account the famous couples and those relationships that we have followed or still follow, some songs already have a clear sender, right?
Many artists use the talent they have to compose lyrics and sing melodies to dedicate themselves to their loved one. Check out a list of songs that some artists have composed for their partners:
Kanye West
Despite much controversy due to his explosive character, Kanye West showed his quieter and more romantic side in 2013. The rapper released a love song dedicated to his then wife Kim Kardashian. Kim also stars in the video for “Bound 2”.
Today, the couple divorced after a long delay since asking for separation. The two had four children together, namely North, Chicago, Saint and Psalm.
Beyoncé
Jay Z and Beyoncé’s story began there in the late 1990s, but a relationship between the two was only highlighted in 2003. At the time, the two starred together in the song “Crazy in Love”, which became one of the most popular hits to date. The couple remains united, despite some turbulence in the relationship. They even released an album together and signed as a duo like The Carters.
Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift is known for her romantic songs and many of them written for famous ex-boyfriends. On the other hand, since 2016, the singer has been dating actor Joe Alwyn and he couldn’t be more in love with her. Of the many songs Taylor has written for her boyfriend, “Lover” is the one that stands out the most.
The song is in fact the title track of the album released in 2019. Much of the project consists of romantic songs that the singer composed for her boyfriend.
Justin Bieber
Although he has written songs for other famous girlfriends such as Selena Gomez, many of Justin Bieber’s latest releases were written for his wife Hailey Bieber. The track “Hailey” is part of the trio of extra tracks from the album “Justice”, released in March 2021.
In the lyrics, the singer makes an immense declaration of love for his wife, whom he met when he was just 15 years old. “We will be diamonds when our golden days are over”, he reads in the text.
Camila Cabello
One of the young couples who has attracted the most attention in recent times has been Camilla Cabello and Shawn Mendes. Although the two are no longer together nowadays, friendship prevails and they always support each other. Basically, every song on his 2019 album “Romance” seems to be about him, including “Shameless”, “Should’ve Said It”, “Liar”, “Bad Kind of Butterflies”, “Feel It Twice” and “Easy.
On the other hand, song writing is mutual, as Shawn Mendes’ self-titled album and “Wonder” record are heavily influenced by their relationship. “Why”, “When You’re Ready”, “If I Can’t Have You” and “Wonder” are some of the songs.
