It sounds like a movie or a promotional action, but it’s a true fact. Last week, police in Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico, arrested a Chucky doll used by a man to terrorize the local population. According to the New York Post, the suspect, under the influence of illicit substances, stabbed the doll with a real knife and demanded money in the city’s main square.
The Chucky doll, known from the horror film series “Child’s Play”, was also handcuffed and taken to the municipal prison together with its owner.

Juan Raúl Alcocer, former police director of Monclova, explained what happened to the local press. “He put the doll in people’s faces and scared them. It’s a crime, that’s why he was arrested. The doll was taken away along with his belongings when he arrived at the police station,” she said .
Alcocer also revealed that the doll’s arrest came after the insistence of journalists covering the case. “Some journalists jokingly told her (the police officer) to pose with the doll and put handcuffs on her. She should take her job seriously, not play pranks,” he said, noting that the police officer responsible for the “arrest” of the doll received a warning.
Identified as Carlos N., the suspect was released after a short time behind bars.
