Preta Gil shared an intimate moment from her fight against bowel cancer with her followers on Instagram. The singer posted photos of herself wearing an ileostomy bag, a medical device used after intestinal surgery. “This little bag saved my life,” Preta wrote Sunday evening (1/10).

“Yes, I use an ileostomy bag and I’m not ashamed to show it, because this bag saved my life and gave me the chance to recover from the surgery that removed the tumor I had. I know it’s not easy, but believe me , I’m grateful,” the singer said. The publication received a flood of positive comments. “Very satisfied with your recovery! A new surgery soon



In a conversation with journalist Leo Dias, he confirmed that in the coming months he will face a new surgery to remove the bursa, as well as undergo oral chemotherapy. “Now there is one more phase. There is still surgery to reconstruct the intestine and place the ileostomy inside it,” the singer informed.

She also reflected on her journey: “Battle against cancer is a painful process, with many ups and downs. I am very happy to have overcome all the stages with treatment with peculiarities. I went through septicemia in the middle of the process, which It made things even harder, but I won.”
