Humberto Elizondo, remembered for his participation in soap operas such as La Que No Podía Amar or Simply María, spoke about the relationship he maintains with his girlfriend, who is 31 years his junior.
The actor, who took a momentary break from television due to health problems, attended a performance of the play “An Act of God” at a venue in Mexico City with his partner, Katrina Zaragoza.
There, he bragged to the media, as seen in a video posted on the ‘Tony Stars TV’ YouTube channel: “I, in particular, with this woman you see over here, won the lottery.”
“(She) is the sweet of my life, so I can say I’m a happy man,” he added as his girlfriend watched him intently.
Elizondo pointed out that they’ve been together for “a year and three months,” but it was Zaragoza who gave more details about their romance.
This is how Humberto Elizondo met his girlfriend
Catrina Zaragoza, Humberto Elizondo’s girlfriend, said they met thanks to “social networks” and even told what she liked about him.
“He’s a super gentleman, in every sense of the word,” she said of the star of the melodrama “I’ll Never Forget You,” which you can see here on ViX.
He pointed out that they came into contact with each other through Facebook, a platform where he has a lot of fun because he “discovers other people’s lives” and makes his works known.
The actor admitted that the age difference between him, 76, and Katrina, 45, “is a barrier”. However, it highlighted the positive side of not being single.
“Every morning I wake up and (think): ‘What do I do now?’ (…) I don’t believe in ‘youth injections’, they’re more like blue pills,” he said.
“I believe in happiness, that someone comes into your life and makes you feel better and makes you want to get up, dress well, shave,” he added.
Humberto Elizondo considers his girlfriend his “machine”.
Humberto Elizondo was candid in admitting that Katrina Zaragoza is the “driving force” of his existence as she motivates him to take care of himself and exercise.
“I’m here for her right now. “I didn’t really want to go to (red) carpets, to events, after the (Covid-19) pandemic,” he explained.
The artist clarified: “No (I have lost the meaning of life), but in solitude it is not the same. “Life in company is always better.”
On September 17, he told reporter Tony Álvarez that he is currently using “an oxygen device” to be able to breathe well.
“For the new generations: don’t smoke. “I have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) from doing it,” he said after coughing a few times.
