The funk singer seeks legal redress after Marchiori made insinuations about her weight and personal life, demanding R$50,000 in moral damages
This week funk singer Jojo Todynho filed a lawsuit against socialite Val Marchiori in the Court of Justice of Sao Paulo. The information was released by The globe and confirmed by Estadao.
The action is a response to comments made by Marchiori in a podcast in late August, in which she mocked Jojo’s weight and made insinuations about the singer’s relationship with her ex-husband.
Jojo Todynho’s lawyer claims that Marchiori’s comments have damaged his client’s honor and image. To obtain compensation for the moral damages suffered, the funk singer requests compensation of R$50,000.
Report contacted Jojo’s advisors Todynho and Val Marchiori for comment on the matter, but as of the publication of this article they had not received a response. The case is still ongoing at the Court of Justice of São Paulo.
