Latino fails in court and could see the villa put up for auction

The court issued a seizure order relating to Latino’s apartment, located in Barra da Tijuca (RJ). In July this year, the singer tried to pay in installments the million dollar debt he owes to the Condomínio Quintas do Rio, but the administration rejected the proposal for fear of defaulting on the payment. This was reported by journalist Fábia Oliveira, from Metrópoles.

The judicial measure attempts to ensure that Latino will repay the debt which exceeds R$664,000, due to the non-payment of a number of obligations with the property. However, the artist disagreed with the foreclosure deadline and said it was done incorrectly.

In the case file, Latino claimed that the seizure made in March this year was made above the correct value, as he had deposited R$230,000 with the Court. It should be noted that the installment was deposited without the approval of the final agreement between the parties.

Chaotic resident?

Faced with the artist’s dissatisfaction, the Quintas do Rio Residents Association stated in documents that Latino is trying to disrupt and obstruct the legal process. In a certain situation, the singer violated an agreement in which he gave the property as collateral for the debt. Therefore, there would be no reason to question the seizure.

The Association has also asked the Court to prevent the artist from making deposits randomly, as well as seeking approval of the apartment minutes so that the auctioneer can be informed as quickly as possible. In June this year, the property was valued by an expert at more than R$7 million.

At the end of September Latino declared that he did not intend to ruin the progress of the trial and that he was trying to avoid possible future errors.
