The singer was caught leaving her parents’ house in the city of Barranquilla last Monday night, October 16.
According to El Nacional de Catalunya, he supposedly arrived in that city on the 14th “on a private and completely discreet flight”.
“It was a trip that was not planned in his diary and his brother ‘Tonino’ (Antonio Mebarak) called him urgently,’ the newspaper reports.
The supposed reason is this “William’s health had deteriorated significantly”something that would have the singer “very worried”, the Catalan media pointed out.
“He already delayed his return to Miami for the complicated situation of his father“, states the report published last Monday the 16th.
According to the records, Shakira’s father, 92, “required daily medical care and had to undergo surgery on several occasions.”
” He is nearing the end of his lifeand the Colombian wants to be by her side until the end, right now he is her first priority, there is no one else,” he assured.
Shakira did not immediately issue any statement about her father’s health after the information was published by El Nacional de Catalunya.
The singer’s father has seen his health deteriorate over the past year and a half. A fall suffered in the artist’s home in Barcelona in May 2022 caused him to end up in hospital several times due to a head injury.
According to the Spanish press, the man would suffer from hydrocephalus and just last June she underwent another surgery in Cartagena, Colombia, as confirmed by the singer herself.
